LE SABLIER

Interactive sculpture exhibited at Palazzo Litta, Milan.Crafted in polished steel and blown glass, the work draws inspiration from the cyclical nature of time and the precision of celestial mechanisms. A structure of concentric circles houses a central hourglass which, when rotated, releases fragrance into the surrounding space. Along the edges of the discs, sand flows through transparent channels, activated by the viewer’s gesture like a silent ritual. The sculpture invites interaction and engages the senses in a synesthetic dimension. Each rotation becomes a perceptive act that makes time — typically invisible — tangible. The work blends structural rigor with poetic sensitivity, finding its expression in the dialogue between gesture and olfactory experience.
