FELICE LIMOSANI (1966)
Felice is an internationally renowned artist, an innovator in Digital Humanities, and an expert in cutting edge and emerging forms of expression. He integrates humanities to digital culture, art and design, in order to create new levels of perception, knowledge and sharing between technology, people and synaesthetic experiences. His multidisciplinary studio is based in Florence and operates with the legal status of Societa Benefit, aiming to create new models that place value on cultural heritage, and that also support social issues and environmental sustainability. His works range from artistic installations to the construction of physical and virtual immersive experiences, as well as commissioned benefit projects. Felice looks to connect visual and sensory forms of expression with more evolved interfaces, and lectures on this in universities and research centres, placing the human factor at the heart of social, technological and cultural innovations. He has also been part of the scientific committee of the Matera European Capital of Culture 2019 Foundation, and of the Advisory Board Venice Museo Multimediale M9 Foundation.
His site specific projects have been exhibited at the Louvre, the Miami Art Basel, The Whitechapel Gallery, Milano Veneranda Fabbrica of Duomo, Palazzo Strozzi, Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Accademia di Firenze, Accademia di Francia in Rome, the Triennale di Milano and the Padiglione Mies Van Der rose in Barcelona. The book “Italo Global” (Lupetti,2014) has highlighted him as one of Italy’s most recognised innovators globally.
Started as a DJ and music producer (1982/1999), founded a start-up SKYBAR wireless lifestyle support, the first MMS messenger app (Nokia 2001) and created digital artistic content for the Japanese telephone company NTT DoCoMo. I have been the Art Director of LUISAVIAROMA Florence (2002/2015), have created and designed the multidisciplinary concept both in-store and online. Projected artistic works with different languages commissioned by international brands. I collaborate all over the world with architects and design studios, developing ideas with an unconventional approach.
